Myanmar is situated in South East Asia. The neighboring countries: People’s Republic of China on the North and North East, Laos on the East, Thailand on the South East, Bangladesh on the West and India on the North West. It is also strategically located between South Asia and South East Asia. More interestingly, Myanmar is between the two most populous nations in the World– China and India and it is the second largest state in Southeast Asia.
Last known Myanmar capital cities; Yangon and Mandalay are situated along the Irrawady which is main river of Myanmar flows from largest mountain ravine in northern Burma to south through the Central Myanmar Basin and ends in one of the largest river delta in Asia. Myanmar first capital has been recently moved from Yangon to Naypyidaw, which is located north of Yangon.
